Confessionals make a comeback...

In a Roman Catholic church in Stanford, Conn., a priest named Stephen DiGiovanni decided it was time for the confessional comeback. He reopened the confessional booths in 1998 and many many people now use them and find them very beneficial and necessary. DiGiovanni believes that the confessionals are a big and helpful part in the Roman Catholic Church and doesn't understand why so many people are against or afraid of them. One woman shares her opinions on the subject, "I’d always feared that the priests would know it was me, and I never wanted to think I’d done something wrong. But at St. John’s, it was explained to me that I go to the doctor for my physical well being and I have to go to confession for my spiritual well being" The normal amount of time spent in a confessional is twice a month, but it is normally different for every person.
